My soon-to-be (in 8 months!) sister-in-law, Melissa, turned 30 years old yesterday.  I think she is dealing with it quite well!

We hung out Saturday and Sunday at the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort.

Just wanted to throw in a pretty flower shot for my mother. She loves flowers.

Happy Birthday Melissa!  It’s over now…only downhill from here! just kidding!

With my fiance.  He always comes on non-wedding shoots with me and second shoots/assists. He gets some great images of my clients, but sometimes he practices his photography skills on other things.  Things that I don’t discover until I am actually editing all the photos!

He is shooting his second wedding with me next weekend. By next year, I plan to have him trained to come on as my full time second shooter!

My new photo friend, Lauren Wright texted me during David Jay’s platform talk to see if I want to come shoot a couple with her on the strip! 

The couple is actually from Georgia, like Lauren, and the Tessa is her sorority sister!

 I decided to challenge myself a bit and really push my 5D to its limit.  I left my flash in the hotel room – on purpose!  It definitly was not easy, but I also got to see what my 50mm 1.4 could acheive!

I have a few beach sessions to blog in the next few days, but until then…

I met with Bethany at her house last week to take a few shots of her growing belly!  Baby Samantha is set to make her debut next month! 

These pink bunny slippers belonged to Bethany as a baby – now they are waiting for Samantha!

This will be my last personal WPPI blog, but I have two more from Vegas that include actual photo shoots!  I was hoping my friends would be more punctual about getting me their photobooth photos (ahem Julia and Lauren!) but alas, I will post without!  I’m also anxiously waiting a SD Ohana Vegas post…hint hint!

One of my favorite people!  We were having a little too much fun…and as you can tell by the first frame…totally sober fun!

Last Saturday, we met Amy and Kenny at Wiens Winery in Temecula.  The day was full of laughs, from both Kenny and Amy.  Its amazing how much Kenny makes Amy laugh!  They are so adorable together and I’m really looking forward to their June wedding.

After Wiens (where they are getting married in a few months) we went up to Falkner Winery so I could check out their new reception area! Very nice!
