A month ago, my friend Kim asked me to meet her family for a few maternity photos. She gave birth just a few days later to a healthy baby boy! Kim is a photographer in San Diego as well.

Michelle and Shaun were married on a beatutiful day at the Oceanview Room on the Pt Loma Sub Base. They had a great team of vendors including Brenda Swann of Swann Soirees, who took care of all the details before and during the wedding day!
Mandi met Michelle and her bridesmaids at the Pearl Hotel that afternoon.

Jesper is like a cousin to me. He lived with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins as part of a foreign exchange program and became a family member to them. He met the love of his life, Amy through another family member – and the rest is history! These two love birds live in different parts of the state right now…but will be moving to Denmark after their August wedding! So exciting!
They were so easy going. It was super windy on the day of their shoot and the sky was threatening to rain the entire shoot! They were up for anything I suggested…I love it!

I decided to sneak away for the weekend to spend some time with my best friend Nichole and her boyfriend Mitch who were visiting Napa all the way from Chicago. I flew up late Friday night and got back Sunday night. I had never been to Napa before and it was so beautiful there! I even came home with a few bottles of new wine.

This is Gordy, who was our tour guide. Ignore his Oregon gear, I already gave him a hard time for that (Go Beavers!) If you are heading to Napa, stop what you are doing and call him NOW! He rocks, he gave an awesome tour and had so much knowledge of Napa and all the wine made there. You will not regret it!

These two love to laugh. They have an inside joke involving monkeys. They are getting married next month at Balboa Park and I am totally looking forward to hanging out with them at the wedding! And shooting it of course

I was so excited for this day to come. Crystal and JT had hired me over a year ago and the day finally came! Crystal was actually at my wedding, helping my coordinator and getting experience since her wedding was in the same location, Ocean View Villas! Another cool thing? She also had Stir Fresh as her caterers, which is where we met for the first time back in 2008!
I got to meet JT for the first time at their engagement session in Las Vegas, where they both grew up.
When Beki and I arrived, Ashley from AC Makeup was putting the finishing touches on Crystal. Hana of Sunshine Hair Design had already finished her gorgeous hair.
Her amazing Amy Michelson dress! I loved the back of it!
They opted to do their first look at Balboa Park, where Crystal’s parents were married many years ago. It was a very sweet moment, intimate and special, while the family was still able to watch from afar.

I love the TV show Modern Family on ABC. Some seriously funny comedy! Right now the entire family is vacationing on Maui. I was finishing up some editing while watching tonight’s episode and I look up and see a familiar face! Rev. Laki Ka’ahumanu, who officiated Tami and Adam’s wedding I shot in Maui last month had a speaking part on the show! How cool is that?

Their wedding photographer forgot to take any photos of just the two of them! Can you believe that? Photography sure has changed since then! I had such a great time getting to know Pete and Sharon, who are the parents of my bride, Tami. Their favorite place in the world is Maui and own several time shares there. I can see why, Maui is just amazing.
