Jessica + Steve were married on a gorgeous Sunday in March at one of my favorite locations – Pala Mesa! They are very close to their families – Jessica’s dad was the most emotional father I’ve worked with to date (he also did all the florals)!   Such a beautiful afternoon filled with love, laughter and cake!  One thing S+J decided to do was have a first “touch” – where they don’t actually see each other prior but they are in close proximity to touch hands and exchange gifts!  I

I love Chicago.  Seriously, if it weren’t for that darn weather I would totally move there.  But at least I get to visit a lot, meeting rad people and shoot them around town!

I love clients that are up for anything!  Including trampling through bug-infested woods, sliding down cliffs to find secluded beaches and climbing over lava rocks!  I adore these two! 

Serina wins the award for most laid back bride.  Of course, she is also the only bride that had a tsunami warning take over the state the night before her wedding!  I was so concerned for her that night and when I checked in with her the next day…she said she wasn’t worried.  She was going to get married no matter what.  Such a great attitude!   Luckily the tsunami was nothing to worry about and their wedding went off without a hitch (largely thanks to their awesome coordinator, Cherise)!  Know what else a tsunami gives us? One amazing sunset!!

Sarah + Mike are both extremely busy Doctors, I didn’t get much time to get to know them prior to the wedding!  Plus they live in Chicago so there was that whole geography issue.  Regardless. they were so fun to be around and I’m not sure I’ve ever met a couple more suited for each other. Pretty big statement but you (probably) weren’t there so you have to take my word for it.  😉  They had a beautiful Fall themed wedding last October in Sarah’s hometown and I am so glad I was there to witness and photograph it!
