Jennifer and Dave – Balboa Park Engagement Photography

These two are adorable and funny!  They are getting married later this year at Ocean View Villas.  They were in town from Arizona and they wanted a shoot at Balboa Park since they spent a lot of time there on vacations every year!

It was so great meeting you two!!

Freddie and Carla – Courthouse Wedding Photography

These two lovebirds were married on a cloudy Friday at the San Diego Courthouse.  This was my first Courthouse wedding and I was thrilled to be capturing the day as it happened!  I met Freddie and Carla at the marriage license office, where they waited awhile to sign all the appropriate paperwork.

Then we headed to the ceremony site outside.  This courthouse does indoor or outdoor ceremonies.

We only had a few minutes for portraits, so we quickly crossed the street to shoot!

Then is was on to Roy’s downtown for the intimate reception

Best of luck in Germany you two! It was such a pleasure meeting you and your family!

Vegas Bound!

On Sunday, Mandi and I are heading to what I like to jokingly call “The Photographers Spring Break”. Really, it’s the annual Wedding and Portrait Photographers (WPPI) Convention at the MGM Grand. This will be my third year going and I cannot wait! It is always so much fun! We will return on Thursday.

I’m doing something a little different this year, I am working at two different trade show booths!
I’ll be at the GoBee Booth Monday and Tuesday between 1pm-4pm
and the Shootsac Booth (#1246) on Wednesday 1pm – 4:30pm
Come say Hello!

Also, I will be having an engagement photoshoot on Monday morning (9am).  I have a lot of photographers ask if they can shadow me on a shoot – well here is your chance!  Send me an email if you are interested in coming along! The shoot will last about one hour.

To my clients, I can still be reached while I am in Vegas, but please allow a little extra time for me to return your email! :)

Molly + Mike: Engagement Session in Coronado and on the Ferry!

I love my couples.  Not just love, I abosultely adore my couples and feel like the luckiest girl in the world sometimes to get to meet such awesome people year after year.  It’s just a total bonus that they actually pay me to be around. HA!

See what Mike and Molly brought me, Mandi and Allison on their engagment shoot?  Mike made them for us since their shoot was on Valentine’s Day!  And they were so yummy!

It was totally Molly’s idea to rent a Surrey Bike to ride around in front of Hotel Del. Shout out to Molly’s parents for helping us and schmoozing the rental company for the free bike!

How adorable are these two!?  I cannot wait for their July wedding!

Another reason I love my couples…they go along with some crazy ideas I have!  We jumped on the PACKED (it was Valentine’s Day, remember) Coronado Ferry to ride across and shoot photos.

This may be my favorite photos of the day. Something really natural and organic about it…

See? Crowded, standing room only…or should I say kissing room only?

The love these two have are contagious!  In case I didn’t say it enough before, I adore them :)

Sally – Exquisite Blooms – San Diego Florist

Those who know me, know that I love to network!  I take after my Mother and can talk to pretty much anyone…and I do!  I first heard of Exquisite Blooms when my bride Sally hired her as the florist at her November wedding.  Then I found out I would be working with Sally (from Exquisite Blooms) again last month at Sara and Mike’s wedding and I knew I had to meet her!  Her work is beautiful!  She is total sweetheart too. We got to chat and shoot some fun, relaxed headshots for her website.

And just a few samples of her awesome work!

I had such a great time hanging out Sally! Let’s do it again soon!

Cortney and Dan – Expecting!

I am so excited for my good friends Cortney and Dan who are expecting their first child in early April!   They are having a little boy and his name is Chase. So cute! I can’t wait to hold him and give him kisses!  D+C were married in 2008 at Humphrey’s Half Moon in on Shelter Island.  They wanted to take their maternity photos in this area as well!

They brought along their fur-babies, Bailey and Kahlua!

I love this photo of Cort – isn’t she glowing??

So glad you wanted me to photograph such a special time in your life, you two!  Chase is one lucky baby!

Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club Open House

Last Thursday Mandi and I attended the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club open house.  It’s an awesome location that doesn’t get much attention.   The reception room is absolutely gorgeous with huge windows overlooking the golf course!

This was our first time attending any sort of bridal fair of any kind.  It was a learning experience for sure!  We met some really awesome vendors too.  I didn’t bring my regular camera so I had someone snap a quick photo with my point and shoot camera!
