These two are so adorable! I met them at their wedding location in Claremont for a few photos and then we headed downtown to check out the city! It was my first time there. I can’t wait for their wedding in July!!

Downtown San Diego and Coronado Engagement Session – {Bree + Shea}

Bree + Shea were referred to me by two independent sources (thanks Audra + Erin!) and I am so happy to be shooting their wedding in November! They are obviously smitten with each other! We spent some time at Petco (Shea is the biggest Padres and Chargers fan you’ll meet) and then down in Coronado for some amazingly yummy light! It was a bit chilly by the end but Bree was a trooper! It was worth it, right Bree?

Griffith Observatory Engagement – {Roxana + Narod}

I was so excited for this engagement session since I had never been to the Griffith Observatory before! What a neat place! Roxana is a good friend of my past bride Brooke! Brooke gifted them a session with me, how sweet is that? I had a blast getting to know these two in the sky above Los Angeles!

La Jolla Cove Engagement session – {Julie + Brett}

University Heights Engagement – {Lindsay + Erik}

I met Lindsay and Erik through my boyfriend! He has known Erik for years and I’ve had fun getting to know the happy couple over the last year and a half. I was so excited to hear they were getting married! I am not shooting their wedding (we are guests) but wanted to share their engagement session. They are beer ~~nerds~~ connoisseurs like my man and their first date was at a beer bar called Small Bar. We started off with a beer there and walked around the neighborhood after!

Mission San Juan Capistrano Engagement Photography – {William + Suzanne}

My first time meeting Suzanne and William was at their engagement session. They live in NorCal and traveled down for wedding planning and our shoot! They picked the gorgeous San Juan Capistrano Mission – one of my favorite places! They were very quiet at the beginning but by the end of our session, they knew exactly how to pose for the camera! They were total naturals together. Thank you to Brenda Swann for introducing us!

These photos are extra special to me since Kim is one of my closest and oldest friends! We met back in 1999 and I am so excited to be a bridesmaid in her September wedding to Ryan this year! Mandi will be shooting the bulk of their wedding. These two live up in Camarillo, so we met in San Juan Capistrano for their engagement photos. They hit some traffic so 95% of their photos were done after the sun went down! Love my low light lenses Enjoy!

Los Penasquitos Canyon and Del Mar Beach Engagement – {Anna + Jim}

I met Jim and Anna for the first time at their shoot! Anna had a clear idea of what she wanted for her shoot and I was so happy I was able to capture her vision. The first half of the session, the open fields & greenery was for her. Jim is more the beach guy. These two had no problem showing affection in front of the camera! It probably helps that they live on different sides of the country right now, with Jim stationed on the East Coast! They treasure the small amount of time they get to see each other!

San Elijo Hills Post-Wedding Session – {Adam + Peter}

Adam is a very good friend of mine from High School. He’s one of the few that I have kept in contact with consistently since we graduated. He joined the Army after high school, where he met his love Peter. I won’t get in to their entire love story on this blog, but if interested you can read this awesome article that the Huffington Post did on their wedding & relationship. These two were married back in October in Iowa and I wasn’t able to make the ceremony or reception. When they came through SoCal a few weeks ago, I offered to take some “post-wedding” photos of them since they didn’t have professional ones done for their wedding! This was my first time getting to meet Peter and I can tell he is the perfect match for Adam. I love reading their blog and how they openly express their love for each other. I’m so happy for my friend to have found true love!
