Cory and Kelly Jo – Military Monday Celebration at the Bali Hai

If you don’t know Rev Christopher Tuttle then you should take some to seek him out and introduce yourself. He is a such a caring, heart warming man who is always a joy to be around. He is a friend and fellow wedding vendor and performs happy couple’s wedding ceremonies year round. Last year he started a charity called Military Mondays. Lucky military couples can get a free wedding ceremony and other select services free of charge! I had volunteered my free photography services for Kelly Jo and Cory’s wedding at the Bali Hai. They were able to celebrate with their closest family friends and their kids. The florals were donated by Elegant Touch Floral Designs.

Mission San Juan Capistrano – A fun shoot!

Wow, this post is waaaaaaaaayyyyyy overdue! I took these photographs in March of 2010! Over a year ago. It was just a fun, personal shoot so it took the back burner. I didn’t even really look at the images until I was on my 14 hour plane ride to Africa. My good friend Cathy was in town visiting after WPPI in Vegas and one of her wishes was to shoot at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. Along with another friend, Bethany and our gorgeous model (another good friend, florist for Exquisite Blooms – Sally) we headed north to take some beautiful photos at one of my favorite shooting locations!

I absolutely love succulent bouquets, and Sally made this one! Stunning!

After the Mission we headed to this open field near by for some more fun shots!

Wedding Wise Bridal Show – A Giveaway!

It’s So Quiet….

I’ve been MIA in blog land! My blog feels so neglected!

I spent the last week in Las Vegas for the largest Photography Convention of the year – WPPI. It was so much fun, I learned a ton about new products and saw many old friends! I look forward to this convention ever year, this was my 4th time!

And of course every year we do our annual bed jumping! Enjoy!

If you haven’t heard of The Wedding Chicks then you haven’t been involved in the wedding industry very long! Brides and vendors should know about these awesome ladies! They have just started a new website for Mom’s and Moms-to-be called On To Baby. So exciting for them! Even more exciting, my good friend Christina with Murasaki Media has a give away on their blog right now! The 1st video on the blog is none other than my gorgeous studio-mate Cathy with Love at First Invite. Her little bundle of Aven joined us on Feb 3rd and you will be seeing photos of her very soon!

The 2nd video is also my other beautiful studio-mate, Helena with Divine Events by Helena. She is due this coming May and I couldn’t be more excited to meet little Emma! Last month, while Christina was filiming this Baby Wishes video for Helena and Erik, I photographed their maternity session…which I will be posting in full very soon. Happiest of Happy New Years Wishes!

As I was pulling images from each of our weddings this year I got an overwhelming feeling of gratification. I am so blessed to have met each and every one of my clients and each of them touch my heart in a different way! I am completely humbled by the people I have met, new friends I have made and the current friendships that have been made stronger. I wish I could hug each and every one of my blog followers – I am so grateful for you!!

2010 was a big year of change for me. I traveled more for business and personal time than ever before (84 days = the amount I was away from home!), Tim and I decided to mutually split up, I won Bridal Insider’s Photographer of the Year, was published in some awesome magazines/online blogs and I turned 30 years old! It was a definitely roller coaster but would not change one thing.

I look forward to an even better 2011 with new couples, some returning clients and all my future brides and grooms! I hope you all have a prosperous and eventful 2011!

A few months ago, Kat from Rock N Roll bride blog contacted me because a British wedding magazine had taken notice of my trash the dress session in the desert with Loni and Todd. I had given permission for them to use the image and forgot all about it! Until I got a scan of the spread from Kat in my email!
