Traveling has been a passion of mine since I got my first passport at 6 months old (no joke!) I sat on my moms lap and made gaga sounds at the photographer. I started traveling alone at age 6 to visit my Aunt in Missouri every Summer. I haven't stopped since. Where I go, my camera follows. I love experiencing new places and capturing each one in my own way.
I’ve been a little preoccupied this week with a new man in my life. My best friend had a baby last Thursday and I am totally smitten. I’m a little biased but isn’t he the cutest?

Nikki is my college roommate and has probably made more appearances on my blog than anyone else! I’ve been shooting her family since Addy was born! They recently moved to Seattle and we were having trouble finding a time to do their family photos for the year. We had given up when I found out I had a 6 hour layover on my way to Maui last month! Voila! They picked us up from the airport and took us to the adorable area near their home, in Fremont. We wandered around the neighborhood and I drooled over all the beautiful Fall colors!
A few weeks ago I got the opportunity to meet Shawntae and Mike’s brand new little girl, Isabella! I’ve known Shawntae for years, since I shot her best friends wedding years ago! Their baby girl is adorable, barely making a peep as I rolled around on the floor next to her! Their fur-baby Jax just had to jump in a few of the pics as well, since he is sharing the spotlight now! 😉
I had so much fun catching up with the Cave family when they came to So Cal for a vacation from Illinois! Mom, Misti is my sorority sister from College! I photographed the kiddos back in 2008 in Peoria. Wow they have grown so much! As have I! 😉 Misti and Joe honeymooned on Coronado 10 years ago and brought the whole family back for some fun in the sun (and Disneyland!)
I could not be more excited for my good friend Sally and her hubby Jeremiah! They will be meeting their little bundle of joy, Eli any day now! He is just a little fashionably late! You may recognize Sally’s beautiful face from the headshots I did of her prior. She is the owner of Exquisite Blooms, a floral company I like to work with! We had actually planned a photoshoot before Sally got pregnant with Eli but the weather pushed our plans back. Shortly after, Sally and Jeremiah got the news that would change their lives forever and we decided to wait on that shoot for this one. 🙂
