Jessica + Andrew dreamed of their rooftop ceremony and reception at the W Hotel in San Diego (now the Renaissance by Marriott) but unfortunately Mother Nature had her own plans! A massive storm came through on their wedding day which enforced a back up plan. But the rain stopped long enough for us to get some awesome portraits at Embarcadero Park! It never rains in Southern California.

Yeah right. Chris + Katie came to San Diego for their destination wedding with the dreams of dancing under stars and cafe lights. Mother Nature had her own plans. Throughout the many curve balls the rain sent our way, Katie and Chris remained positive and truly happy to become husband and wife. And the rain complied and let up after the ceremony so we could get some beach photos!  Venue: Paradise Point Resort

This is a special one. Gaby and Khari met when they were only 13 years old. One week later, Gaby, an avid competitive swimmer, jumped in to the shallow end of a pool head first and her whole world changed. Her new friend Khari spent time with her in the hospital. They kept in touch off and on over the next couple years while Gaby was adjusting to life in a wheelchair. When Gaby needed a date to her senior prom, she remembered the cute boy who was there for her through a rough time. They have been together ever since! They are getting married TODAY at a beach in Malibu.

Gaby and Khari are so sweet together. Gaby is still in her wheelchair most of the time but as an incomplete quadriplegic she is able to stand and even walk with lots of help. Help that Khari is happy to provide. As I mentioned, Gaby is an avid swimmer and still is. They do weekly pool therapy so it was only natural to end their engagement session in their very own pool! It was my first time shooting an engagement session in a pool but I’m so thrilled to share that with these two. I couldn’t think of a better suited couple. I’m so excited to photograph their wedding today.

I had a blast getting to know Erin + Marc through the wedding planning process and I can say they are the sweetest, most caring couple. They brought on Heather from Amorolgy who knocked it out of the park on details. Their celebration was a family centric affair and it showed the entire day. Even from Erin getting ready in the room she grew up in!
