Some of you may not know, but I spent the last week and half of July in Chicago. I ate some Jimmy Johns, saw my best friend and had a lot of photo shoots!
One of those being, Amy and Jake who are getting married next July in the ‘burbs of Chicago. I am so excited! Amy is my sorority sister from College and I had the pleasure of meeting Jake for the first time. We met up at Cantigny Park. This is a gorgeous place! The museum is closed on Mondays so we had the entire place to ourselves!
With storm clouds looming overhead, we made our way to the Naperville Fire Station, where Jake is employed. This was a new experience for me, and it was fun having free range on the engine and the station! 🙂
It was so great hanging out with you two, I can’t wait for next Summer and your awesome wedding!
Special thanks to my assistant Tina for driving me and helping me shoot! You rock!

I’m so sorry, blog world! I have neglected you a little too long this time! I was in Illinois for 9 days and came home to a packed weekend in San Diego! I have a TON of images to blog from the last two weeks!
First up, Rosy and Andy’s wedding in Rockford Illinois! They were married in this rad old theatre, such a unique location!
I adore this photo that my assistant, Tina took of Rosy’s shoes! <3
Meanwhile, downstairs, the men were tearing it up on Rock Band!
The lovely bride…
…and her handsome groom!
They incorporated some Persian traditions to the ceremony!
Love this moment immediately after the ceremony
They got to choose what the sign said on this side. They told me they were trying to get the word “awesome” to make a come-back. I responded with “I never knew awesome was gone…”
Check out that ceiling!
Gorgeous!!!
We snuck off to get a view of the reception from above
Their signature drink called…what else? The Blue Awesome.
Later in the night, a belly dancer showed up to entertain!
Well you knew they were Rock Band fans…
Thanks to my lovely assistant Tina Jean for driving to Rockford and singing along to Lady Gaga with me!
Rosy and Andy, I know you are enjoying Cancun right now! Thanks for being so “awesome”!
xoxo, M
