Salvage One, Chicago Wedding – {Justin + Katie}

Salvage One Wedding Photos_01 I think it’s safe to say that Salvage One is hands down the coolest venue I’ve photographed. What is more rad than an antique store that doubles as a wedding venue?! Plus Katie _ Justin had a killer view of the Chicago skyline and we did their first look photos there!  Rain threatened us the entire day but we made it through the ceremony before the downpour started!  Another awesome moment was when the groom, Justin played an original song he wrote for his bride in front of everyone!  Heart = Melt!  Salvage One Wedding Photos_02 Salvage One Wedding Photos_03 Salvage One Wedding Photos_04 Salvage One Wedding Photos_05 Salvage One Wedding Photos_06 Salvage One Wedding Photos_07 Salvage One Wedding Photos_08 Salvage One Wedding Photos_09 Salvage One Wedding Photos_10 Salvage One Wedding Photos_11 Salvage One Wedding Photos_12 Salvage One Wedding Photos_13 Salvage One Wedding Photos_14 Salvage One Wedding Photos_15 Salvage One Wedding Photos_16 Salvage One Wedding Photos_17 Salvage One Wedding Photos_18 Salvage One Wedding Photos_19 Salvage One Wedding Photos_20 Salvage One Wedding Photos_21 Salvage One Wedding Photos_22 Salvage One Wedding Photos_23 Salvage One Wedding Photos_24 Salvage One Wedding Photos_25 Salvage One Wedding Photos_26 Salvage One Wedding Photos_27 Salvage One Wedding Photos_28Salvage One Wedding Photos_29

Carlsbad Engagement Session – {Jasmine + Randy}

So Cal has been having some amazing sunsets lately! The one at this session may have been the best of the best! Jasmine loves silhouette photos so it was fun and challenging to try different silhouettes that I may not have tried before!  They also introduced me to So Ponto Beach in Carlsbad, which sadly is the closest beach to my house and I’ve never been! A new favorite for me and for them…since it’s where they got engaged!  I’m so excited to photograph their wedding next month in San Marcos!

Encinitas Engagement Session – {Amy + Bryan}

Amy + Bryan have a deep connection to Encinitas – they both grew up in the area and met when they were in high school!  They are tying the knot later this year, in Encinitas, of course and I cannot wait!

2013 was amazing!

My 2013 post is a bit behind since Jason and I were in Chicago shooting a fabulous snowy New Years Eve wedding! Now we’re back in warm weather and playing catch up!

2013 was a year I won’t soon forget. 41 couples were married and captured by our cameras! I am so grateful to meet so many unique and inspiring couples through my business.  I am so thankful to be trusted to capture such an important day!

I’m also grateful for the other clients that stepped in front of my camera for engagement sessions, boudoir shoots, family sessions and sessions just because.  You all rock.

Here’s to a fantastic 2014!

xo, Melissa
