Olowalu Plantation House, Maui Wedding – {Tito + Serina}

Maui_wedding_olowalu_01 Serina wins the award for most laid back bride.  Of course, she is also the only bride that had a tsunami warning take over the state the night before her wedding!  I was so concerned for her that night and when I checked in with her the next day…she said she wasn’t worried.  She was going to get married no matter what.  Such a great attitude!   Luckily the tsunami was nothing to worry about and their wedding went off without a hitch (largely thanks to their awesome coordinator, Cherise)!  Know what else a tsunami gives us? One amazing sunset!!  Maui_wedding_olowalu_02 Maui_wedding_olowalu_03 Maui_wedding_olowalu_04 Maui_wedding_olowalu_05 Maui_wedding_olowalu_06 Maui_wedding_olowalu_07 Maui_wedding_olowalu_08 Maui_wedding_olowalu_09 Maui_wedding_olowalu_10 Maui_wedding_olowalu_11 Maui_wedding_olowalu_12 Maui_wedding_olowalu_13 Maui_wedding_olowalu_14 Maui_wedding_olowalu_15 Maui_wedding_olowalu_16 Maui_wedding_olowalu_17 Maui_wedding_olowalu_18 Maui_wedding_olowalu_19 Maui_wedding_olowalu_20 Maui_wedding_olowalu_21 Maui_wedding_olowalu_22 Maui_wedding_olowalu_23 Maui_wedding_olowalu_24 Maui_wedding_olowalu_25 Maui_wedding_olowalu_26 Maui_wedding_olowalu_27

Merriman’s Restaurant – Maui, Hawaii Wedding – {Brian + Bryanna}

2013-05-10_0033When I see Maui in my inbox, my heart flutters.  I love it there. I feel at home there. I’m so fortunate to be there. I was especially excited when Bry told me she and Brian were getting married – I have known Bry for many years – since high school!  Thanks to Facebook we reconnected.  It was a gorgeous day on the island, and even when it started to sprinkle as Bry walked down the aisle – nothing could wipe that beautiful smile off her face! I think she would have married Brian amid a tornado!  She has the most infectious smile and laugh that I’ve seen!  The night ended with an intimate dinner at Merriman’s.

Maui Trash the Dress – {Robin + Nathan}

I’m not a morning person.  But at least when I do wake up, I have amazing scenery, a lovey couple and great light!  Robin + Nathan were totally up for my crazy idea for a sunrise session in Lahaina!  And getting all the way in the water – for sure!  Love these two!

Lahaina Plantation House Wedding, Maui, Hawaii – {Nathan + Robin}

Maui_lahaina_plantation_house_wedding_01
I’m still playing catch up with blogs and am so stoked to share this wedding on Robin + Nathan!  One part of the day I remember well was how warm it was!  Robin totally rocked it our in her super heavy dress – and didn’t complain at all!  She was too busy taking in and enjoying every moment of the day.  Another highlight for me was watching Cherise from The Perfect Maui Wedding‘s daughters dance a beautiful hula!   Oh and the fact I wanted to steal Robin’s adorable Nine West heels!

Oh and I feel compelled to add…Canadians are seriously the nicest most apologetic group I’ve ever met.  😉

Bucket List Adventures: Krabi, Thailand

In December, I had an amazing opportunity to photograph a wedding in Thailand.  It was my first trip to Asia and it certainly will not be my last!  Jason was able to join me for most of the trip and we visit 3 main areas.  I’ll be doing 3 blog posts on the trip – not including the gorgeous wedding of Donna + Matt!  Those to come at a later time (and some fun news about the photos to share in the future as well).

I spent a week in south Thailand in Krabi.  We stayed in Ao Nang and Railay Bay.  I was really sad when we left Krabi, between the daily massages, the gorgeous views and friends I made, I was ready to move there!

Over in Railey Bay (which is only accesible by long tail boat) – family photos of the bride + grooms immediate family!Thailand_wedding_photographer_246I’m photographing the wedding of these two (above right) in October – you’ll be seeing more of them soon enough!^^^^^

So that was a quick run down of my first week in Thailand (not including the wedding)!  We did so much more than I have room to share but hope you enjoyed the highlights!
