My freshman year of college, I went half way across the country to go to school. I didn’t know a single person, so I was really nervous to meet my roommate. Nikki and I hit it off right away. We grew apart as the year went on, forced in to different social circles. But I feel very lucky now that we have kept in touch all these years and she is still in my life.

Nikki married her college sweetheart, Matt. This past June, they created their own little miracle, Adeline. What an adorable baby! She loved the camera and was so expressive! I can’t wait to shoot her 1 year old photos next June when I get back to Illinois!

I did my rescheduled family shoot for my friend Mandi and her family. Mandi’s sister Kim is an old friend of mine from my Best Buy days.

Mandi has a beautiful family including her husband Brian, daughter Paige (4) and son Sean (9 months).

Allison is my best friend from high school. We lost touch for a few years, but when we found each other on classmates.com again it was like we were never apart!

She and Jared are high school sweethearts! They have been married for 6 years now! Wow! She has been wanting to get some recent portraits taken so of course she called me! 🙂

I headed out to their place in Temecula. We started at the Redhawk golf course to take photos in front of the pretty waterfall – which wasn’t turned on that day!!! Oops. We went to our back up location – Wine Country. Our first stop was South Coast Winery and then on to Wilson Creek for some chocolate port! Yum!

It was great to spend some time with them…Allie just opened a clothing boutique in Murrieta called Colette and its been keeping her pretty busy!

My parents were in town this weekend! I picked them up at the Baja Border on Saturday and we headed up to Palos Verdes for the night.

I was planning on photographing my God-neice this weekend but she was feeling too sick. 🙁 I didn’t want to go a whole weekend without picking up my camera, so when I went to pick Mark up at his dads last night, I shot some photos.
