Pete and Sharon – Maui, Hawaii Portraits

Married for 40 years.

0 professional photos.

Their wedding photographer forgot to take any photos of just the two of them! Can you believe that?  Photography sure has changed since then!  I had such a great time getting to know Pete and Sharon, who are the parents of my bride, Tami.  Their favorite place in the world is Maui and own several time shares there. I can see why, Maui is just amazing.

How cute are they??

They mentioned one of their favorite activities was to sit on this bench with a glass of wine and watch the sunset!

Thank you for treating me as part of your family in Hawaii! I had so much fun.

Julie and Eric – Honeymoon Photography, Maui, Hawaii

How often do you get professional photos taken on your Honeymoon?!  Not very often, is my guess.  Well, Julie and Eric took advantage of the fact I was in town and booked me for what I call a Honeymoon shoot!  Julie was my wonderful bride, Tami’s bridesmaid.  She and Eric were married this past September and waited to have their honeymoon around Tami’s wedding – so sweet!  I had such a good time getting to know these two over the week. Julie and I totally bonded, I want to go visit them in Vermont soon!

These were all shot within walking distance of our hotel,  Papakea Resort.

My fav (and it was totally candid!) <3

Thanks you two for being up for anything I asked, including wading out in the water!

Washington DC – Cherry Blossom Portraits of Mr & Mrs A

Mr A has decided he likes his role as International Mystery Man too much and wanted to stay anonymous on my blog….ooh so mysterious…

Instead you get to stare at the beautiful face of my best friend, Ann Marie!  The whole point of going to DC in March was to visit during the cherry blossom blooms!  So of course I wanted to take some portraits of a gorgeous couple!  Hope you enjoy these few teasers I can show you!

Love you two! Thanks for your hospitality!!

Washington DC through my eyes

Still playing catch up with my blog…about a month behind 😉

Last month I took a trip to Washington DC, my birth place!  I have zero memories of my hometown since we moved to San Diego when I was 5, but I have been back a few times since.  This was my first time as an adult though!  My best friend, Ann Marie moved to Maryland six months ago so I took the opportunity (and free board!) to spend some time with her and see the East Coast for a few days!  I planned my trip around the Cherry Blossom Festival held every Spring.  In the weeks leading up to my trip it looked like I was going to just miss the cherry blossom trees blooming. They decided to start blooming the week I got there, thanks goodness!  What a beautiful sight!

Since I was pretty much on vacation, I only took my camera out twice, so there aren’t a ton of photos!  But I hope you enjoy the ones I did take!

Meet Ann Marie. This girl makes me laugh like no other. This photo fills my heart.

We spent a day in Baltimore as well!  I went here on an 8th grade trip but don’t remember much of it!

I really wanted to see Edgar Allen Poe’s gravesite, thankfully it was open on a Sunday!  It was super eerie and overcast when we got there…perfect cemetery weather!  As soon as we got back in the car it started pouring rain!

I want to plan a yearly trip to the East Coast to get my Ann Marie fix!  So if there is anyone out there interested in booking a wedding or portrait session with me near the DC area, please let me know and I can inform you of my future travel plans!

Out of the office – Hawaii Wedding! (No April Fools joke here!)

Not my image – from this website

Right now, the hubby and I are on an airplane to Maui for Tami and Adam’s wedding!  I have been talking to Tami since last July and am soooooo looking forward to meeting her!  We are taking a vacation as well, the wedding isn’t until Wednesday!  We are also doing their trash the dress on Sunday (yes, BEFORE the wedding! She has two dresses).

We are staying in Lahaina and I am beyond ecstatic! I have never been to Maui before and Tim has never been to Hawaii at all!   We will be gone through the 8th of April so please allow a little extra time for email and phone responses. I will be checking my emails daily, but not as often as I normally do!  And of course I will be tweeting my whereabouts while there, if you want to follow me on Twitter!

Aloha!
