Tag, You’re It!

I have been tagged by fellow photographer friends Tiffany Harrison and Dawn Malone. I figured what the heck, even Jasmine Star did one of these! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am supposed to write about 8 things that make me unique, so here goes!

1. My favorite condiment for hamburgers is Peanut Butter. My family has been doing this since I was a child, so it is totally normal to me. Apparantly, nobody else thinks so!

2. I joined a sorority in college because growing up I wanted to be just like my godsister Michele. This is also the reason I played soccer through college.

3. I don’t know my multiplication tables (other than the easy 1’s and 0’s). My friends love to bring this up in public by throwing random 8×12’s equal and 4×9’s equal at me and laughing at my wrong answers.

4. I am addicted to watching shows on weddings. I can’t get enough, I love my job!

5. I have lived on both coasts of the US as well as the Midwest.

6. I partied with Vanilla Ice a few years back. Its a funny story, we shared a bottle of Redrum.

7. I have really cute feet. I actually looked in to becoming a foot model at one point in time.

8. I love becoming friends with my clients. It happens quite a bit too! I also am huge in to networking with other photographers, its one of my favorite things to do!

Okay, now I get to tag other photographers!

Karina + Matt

I’m almost embarrased to admit how far behind on blogging I am! But I am making an effort now to catch up after my week away in Oregon.

Karina and Matt were married in a lovely ceremony on June 14, 2007. They both come from very loving and traditional families. For this wedding, I was second shooting for my good friend, Michele of Captured Forever.

Planning the entry…

Success!

The church was located in Escondido…love it when the wedding is just down the road!

I love this stolen moment of the two:

The bride surprised her husband by seranading him to Michael Buble’s Everything. She had a great voice!

Both the bride and groom are very religious, so I love this moment during the dinner prayer.

I highly suggest a shoe change for the reception! How cute! The groomsmen doing their job!

Me and Michele:So I saved this image for last…this is Karina’s 90 something grandmother. She left a bit early but not before getting down on the dance floor. Right here, and I swear I am not making this up, she is showing Karina how to “Lean like a Cholo”. I just had to share that with you!

Amanda and the Rose Garden

Sounds like a book title doesn’t it? I got to spend my day with a sorority sister that I haven’t seen in about 6 years! We reconnected again on Myspace and when I learned that she had moved from the Midwest to Portland, I knew it wouldn’t be long before we got to see each other again!

She met my parents and myself at Daro’s kitchen. Its a new Ethiopian restaurant that we hadn’t tried yet. (btw, service was a little shoddy, but the food was great!)

After, Amanda took me to the Rose Garden to walk around.

The beautiful Amanda:
Aren’t these great clouds?
The view of Portland!
We went to the trendy area of Portland and stopped at a chocolate bar called Moonstruck. Amanda got the Champagne truffle (on left) and I got a Cookies and Cream cone. YUM!
We stopped by Bartini for happy hour martinis:
This last photo is a bit of a non-sequitor, but this is my grandmother’s wedding ring that she left my mother. My father never gave my mom a diamond (by mutual decision) 37 years ago. We think that may be why my gramma was so adamant that my mother (her daughter in law) have this ring! It’s stunning, I just had to take a photo of it!

My New Place!

I moved. Yes again. This time to San Marcos to a beautiful 4 bedroom house with 3 other females. We have 2 fireplaces, a gorgeous kitchen and vaulted ceilings. We are actually still looking for another roommate so if anyone is interested?

My messy room! I’m still waiting for someone to put together my cool bed! ๐Ÿ™‚A self portrait ๐Ÿ™‚

Bluberries and Family time!

I made it safe to Oregon to spend the week with my family. My parents love to pick fresh berries so of course we had to head out there my first morning! But its all worth it to have fresh berries with my granola cereal every morning.

I’ve been relaxing and doing a lot of thinking on my “vacation”. Thank you to everyone for your condolences regarding my gramma, I really appreciate it!

We stopped by Baggensto’s:

The most delicious strawberries ever, they were just growing:

The raspberry bushes were very overgrown. The good berries were hidden:
My mother, showing off a massive raspberry! I then proceded to eat it! They were huge! Gotta love late in the season picking.
My dad concentrating real hard:
Yum! Our booty:

This is my cousin’s son Rohan:
