Las Vegas Urban Elopement – |Trish + Abby|

sam sex las vegas elopement This elopement was a total bucketlist for me for many reasons! Murals? Vegas? Kick ass clients? Craft Beer? Right up my alley!!

I know Abby + Trish from our local craft beer bar we all frequent and one drunken night (I think my birthday?!), Trish and I schemed up this plan for these two to get hitched in Vegas! When we followed through on the plans sober a few weeks later, I was so stoked. They found an awesome mobile minister (Shout out to Joelle with The Gypsy Mobile Minister) and a hair/makeup artist that came to their hotel (Beauty Studio Inc)! We had sort of had a game plan on where we wanted to shoot but since we don’t live that close to Vegas, we played it by ear. It was so perfect, every thing we all wanted in their wedding day!

We laughed, we sprayed cheap champagne, we even got our boogy on!  Check out the fun afternoon I had celebrating these two amazing women as wife + wife!!

Fullerton Arboretum Wedding – |Taylor + Mary Kate|

I’m so excited to share this beautiful Fullerton wedding! It was featured on The Overwhelmed Bride blog so hop on over there to see some more photos from the event! Mary Kate and Taylor had a wedding that celebrated their Irish heritage. Family is so important to them – and that was prevalent during the day. Taylor’s son is a huge part of their life and quite the dancer! It was a gorgeous, warm day that I love reliving through the photos!

Marian Bear and Scripps Pier Engagement Session – |Nicole + Aram|

These two just glowed with love and excitement in front of my camera. They were only a few weeks away from their wedding and the energy was felt! We had the most perfect day at Marian Bear Park and ended with the sunset at Scripps Pier! The beach was crowded but nothing bothered these two!

Happy New Year – A look back at 2017!

2017 was an interesting year for me. With the highest high (my wedding) to some really low-lows within my personal and family life. Overall it was a really tough year. But putting this collage together today, looking at all of my smiling couples I am reminded how much joy my job brings me. To be there on one of the happiest days of someones life. To celebrate their nerves, the first kiss, that walk down the aisle as husband and wife…and so many more precious moments. It’s sometimes hard to believe how lucky I am that I can make a living off a passion. I get to travel the world and meet so many new and interesting people. Hear their stories, sometimes even shed a tear with them. Life is fleeting. I like to sit in these moments of joy and reflect on what truly matters. For me, that is spending time with my loved ones, sharing a meal with a new friend, reading an engrossing novel, mentoring a budding photographer and watching them get it.  Overall just connecting with the human race. My wish for you in the new year is to find those moments of pure bliss and savor them. Go after them. Capture them in your heart, mind or even on camera. Cheers to a fresh new start.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
