Wrigley Casino, Descanso Beach Club Wedding, Catalina Island – {Charlie + Vivian}

I am so excited I can finally share this blog!  It was my first time to Catalina Island and I totally fell in love with its old timey charm.  Throw in an amazingly sweet couple, super fun bridal party and a pair of purple Louboutin’s – I’m a happy photographer!  Viv + Charlie booked me after meeting me at Nick + Jen’s Monterey wedding. I was so excited to be part of their special day and the bonus was I got to catch up with Nick and Jen!

I am also excited to say this wedding was a featured destination wedding on the I Do Destination Magazine Blog! Head on over there to check out some great advice from Viv!

La Jolla Musuem of Contemporary Art Wedding – {Scott and Gracie}

I absolutely loved getting to know Gracie and Scott on their wedding day. Being around two people so obviously smitten for each other puts me in the best of moods.  Gracie’s nervous excitement leading up to their first look was so sweet, it made me emotional when they got to see each other!  Shout out to Eve with Ooh La La Weddings for referring these two to me!  xo

The Lab Anti-Mall Engagement – {Debi + Jeff}

Debi’s only criteria for their engagement shoot was “colorful”!  I love it!  It was my first time meeting these two and I was so glad we got a chance to meet up!  They hired me for their Maui wedding next year.  I can’t wait!!

Lake Tahoe Wedding, Cal Neva Resort – {Trevor + Erica}

This wedding is way overdue for the blog – these two were married a year ago this month!  Erica is a wedding photographer in NorCal who contacted me years and years ago on Myspace.  She told me someday (when she finds the groom) that I will be her wedding photographer.  Well, she found her soulmate and kept her promise to me!

It was a crazy weekend…the night before Jason and I were set to fly out – the power went out in San Diego!  I was so freaked they would cancel our flight the next morning that we drove up to Tahoe at 10pm that night!  It was a crazy but fun road trip and I’m really glad it ended up being that way.

But back to the wedding…Erica and Trevor chose the funky Cal Neva Resort on the state line for their location.  Some cool facts about this place: It was once owned by Frank Sinatra, it still has underground tunnels that they used to run alcohol to the bar during Prohibition and the Reception room + pool are on the state line – so technically in two states!

It was a gorgeous day, it even rained a tiny bit during the ceremony!  But Erica didn’t care about that – she was just thrilled to marry the man she loves in the wedding of her dreams!

Coronado Marriage Proposal – {Jeremy + Dennis}

Jeremy planned out every single detail.  He was so excited to propose to the love of his life and it came through in every email.  J+D came to visit San Diego (their favorite place ever) from Arizona for vacation that coincided with our local Pride Parade.  Jeremy and I planned for the proposal to go down on Friday evening on the beach near the Hotel Del.  Dennis was so surprised, he had no clue.  I couldn’t have done my part without my awesome assistants, Ryan & Alison (of Alison Howard Events).  Thank you both so much!

After the surprise, we headed off for a mini-engagement session!  Can’t wait for their wedding next year in New York!
