Balboa Park Engagement Session – {Vikram + Vaishnovi}

I had a fun afternoon getting to know V&V a little better and hearing about their wedding in India next year!  They are very sweet together, both naturals in front of my camera!  I love the traditional Indian outfits.  They drove down from LA (technically Vaishnovi flew from the East Coast!) , just to be photographed at Balboa Park!

Shelter Island and Sunset Cliffs Engagement session – {Carolyn + Steve}

I’m so excited to share these photos because Carolyn and Steve are getting married next week – in Maui!  I’ll be leaving Monday for their Wednesday morning wedding!  Can’t wait!!  We shot their engagement session all around the Bali Hai restaurant and then headed over to Sunset Cliffs where Steve had proposed.  They make me laugh (as well as each other) so much!  And obviously they are huge sports fans!  Steve is a Nor Cal sports fan but donned a Chargers jersey just for his love!  Hey Steve – Go Padres!! 😛

Celadon Restaurant San Diego Wedding – {Paul + Kris}

Kris and Paul were separated by a lot of ocean.  They went days without hearing from each other.  The military put a distance between them but not even being in different countries could dissipate their connection.  Paul flew in right before the wedding day and had to leave shortly after to go back to Japan.  Kris followed a few months later.  But on that day in December, it was just about the two of them, in the same place sharing one heart.

They opted for the First Look (hugely recommend especially in Winter months!)  My assistant Bryan took this photo…I love the anticipation!

After the ceremony, we headed to Celadon Restaurant in Hillcrest for their intimate dinner celebration.  Check out her short dress below…the wedding dress was convertible!!

Chicago Engagement Session – {Nichole + Mitch}

Meet my best friend Nichole and her soulmate Mitch!  I adore these two together, they are perfectly matched.  I flew out to Chicago a few weeks ago to photograph their engagement photos near their home in Wrigleyville and around Millennium Park.   I am not allowed to bring my camera to the wedding (I’m a bridesmaid!!) so I wanted to do this for them as a gift.  🙂  Except the weather wasn’t cooperating.  It rained and rained and then it rained a little more.  We still made it happen though, raindrops and all!

Mission San Juan Capistrano – A fun shoot!

Wow, this post is waaaaaaaaayyyyyy overdue!  I took these photographs in March of 2010!  Over a year ago.  It was just a fun, personal shoot so it took the back burner. I didn’t even really look at the images until I was on my 14 hour plane ride to Africa.  My good friend Cathy was in town visiting after WPPI in Vegas and one of her wishes was to shoot at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. Along with another friend, Bethany and our gorgeous model (another good friend, florist for Exquisite Blooms – Sally) we headed north to take some beautiful photos at one of my favorite shooting locations!

I absolutely love succulent bouquets, and Sally made this one! Stunning!

After the Mission we headed to this open field near by for some more fun shots!

Bethany 🙂

My favorite Aussie, Cathy!
