Traveling has been a passion of mine since I got my first passport at 6 months old (no joke!) I sat on my moms lap and made gaga sounds at the photographer. I started traveling alone at age 6 to visit my Aunt in Missouri every Summer. I haven't stopped since. Where I go, my camera follows. I love experiencing new places and capturing each one in my own way.
Just a quick note about my week. Tim and I will be leaving to Chicago tomorrow morning until Wed June 18. I should have internet access, but that isn’t 100% confirmed. One of my best friends is getting married on Saturday in Peoria, so I will be driving all over the state of Illinois. I apologize for any delay in getting back to you!
This morning my cousin Mark had open heart surgery to replace a heart valve. This is his second surgery in the past 7 years. He is such a strong person, physically, mentally and spiritually. I really admire him. Plus he is Tim’s raquetball buddy! 🙂

Tonight I got a chance to visit him at Rady Children’s Hospital. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. My aunt Rhonda met me at the front and brought me in to see him. The doctors had decided to keep him asleep to moniter his blood pressure.

Thank you to all my friends/family who sent good vibes/prayers Mark’s way. The surgery was a success and tomorrow he will get to wake up!

Those machines make me feel right at home…at work. So glad that he is doing well and everything went smoothly. I will be praying for an easy recovery.

Thank you for all of your prayers and wishes for my son Mark. It was quite an experience to know that so many people were thinking of us last week. It is a blessing to belong to a family of friends who can uphold one another through the hard times of life. Your encouragement to me as well as my niece Melissa is really special.

Hope Mark is recovering really well, give us an update when you can. Have a safe trip back… funny, my hubby and I were in Chicago the 13th-16th. It would have been fun to run into you guys!
